THE CRICKETERS BRIGHTON
A historic and traditional Brighton pub
The Cricketers, in the heart of the Brighton Lanes, is a step back in time to the Victorian era with all the best things a modern pub can offer – great food using local ingredients, a fantastic selection of ales, spirits, wines, beers and ciders and a lively atmosphere.
A pub has been on this site since 1547 and its links with history include a previous landlord who was burnt as a martyr, a strong and persistent rumour that a certain previous resident was believed to be Jack the Ripper and infamy in the novel Brighton Rock by Graham Greene for which the function room and private party venue upstairs at The Cricketers is named.
The Cricketers is part of The Golden Lion Group, a family run pub company of over 30 years based in Hove providing quality drink and food in welcoming atmospheres around Brighton and Hove.
